Michael H. Fabian is the founding shareholder of Fabian, Sklar & King, P.C. With more than 30 years of experience, Fabian has won numerous cases that have created groundbreaking national precedent in establishing and protecting the rights of policyholders. His clients range from homeowners to Fortune 500 companies.
Michael is a nationally recognized expert in insurance law. He is an editor of Michigan Insurance Law and Practice, published by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), as well as co-author of the chapter on Property Insurance Law. He also authored the Fire Insurance Chapter in ICLE’s Causes of Action Formbook.
A frequent lecturer on property insurance issues to numerous legal and professional groups throughout the country, Michael has also served as an appointed member of the National Fire Protection Association Technical Committee on Fire Investigations, which publishes NFPA 921, the authoritative text on fire investigations, and on the Insurance Law Committee of the State Bar of Michigan.
He is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice Section), American Bar Association (Property Insurance Committee), State Bar of Michigan, Michigan Association of Justice, American Association of Justice and the Wayne County Mediation Tribunal. Michael has been selected as a Michigan “Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics Magazine each year since 2006.
He earned a B.A. with honors from the James Madison College of Michigan State University in 1975 and a J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1978.
